Two Bay Area facilities received BOMA International TOBY Awards last night: Oracle's corporate offices in Redwood Shores and Stoneridge Corporate Plaza in Pleasanton.

Corporate Facility

The Oracle HQ, built in 1989, is on the former site of an animal-based theme park, according to BOMA. With 17 buildings totaling 3.4M SF, it includes 10 office buildings, a conference center, a fitness center and parking garages. Its futuristic look has landed the campus roles in Hollywood science fiction movies. Oracle America owns and manages the property.

Suburban Office Building - Low Rise

The same team presented this award to Stoneridge Corporate Plaza, owned by NPC Holdings and managed by Next Play Consulting. (We looked at Stoneridge when we highlighted six Bay Area TOBY Award winners.) The 25-acre, multi-tenant, Class-A campus has five buildings totaling 560k SF, according to BOMA. A two-acre public park and a landlord-subsidized café are among the amenities for the campus' 32 tenants with more than 1,800 employees.

The 2016 BOMA International Conference & Expo was held at the Gaylord National Harbor Hotel in Washington, DC, where 3,000 attendees and 450 exhibitors convened for general and education sessions, networking, regional breakfasts, and to learn about the latest and greatest in building operational technology and services. This was BOMA International's second-largest event since 2007.
