Breaking booze: This week at a CBRE broker luncheon at Market Center, some 200 people in attendance were gifted with magnums of Belvedere vodka, setting a new bar when it comes to leasing out big blocks (plus we could open a new bar with this bottle). In late October we wrote about the big 200k SF chunk Omnicom is leaving behind at 555 Market, that CBRE is marketing. (We can only assume THEBIG200 in the invite above refers to square footage.) Market Center's landlord John Hancock has deep pockets and can clearly afford the $145/bottle price tag, one broker in attendance at the packed leasing event tells us. And now recipients throwing holiday or New Year's Eve parties won't have to hit BevMo, depending on how fast a 1.75 litre bottle can be consumed.
