A 4.8-acre multifamily project at Candlestick Park is moving forward in San Francisco after receiving unanimous approval from the city’s planning commission. Owners SingHaiyi Group / Ocean Landing collaborated with architect Woods Bagot for the 600 units spanning five buildings. The next step is the design phase of construction documents. Groundbreaking is planned for late 2017.
The project, Thomas Mellon Waterfront Residencies, is the largest Woods Bagot project within San Francisco approved by the planning commission. The development will be a part of the Executive Park Special Use District.

Woods Bagot and the development team conducted several formal and informal meetings with neighbors, the planning department, city officials, the mayor’s office and the planning commission. The project received unanimous approval with the understanding that there was a 30-day period for anyone to come forward with objections. In early January, the development team received written approval confirmation from the planning department.
