The Transbay Joint Powers Authority has selected several companies to manage the Transbay Transit Center. The multibillion-dollar infrastructure project is nearing completion of Phase 1. Lincoln Property will be the asset manager and will lead the team in charge of leasing, marketing and operations.

“The Transbay Transit Center is one of the best opportunities for retail and public space that we’ve seen in the entire San Francisco area,” Lincoln Property Vice President Stephen Lindgren said.

Colliers International Executive Vice President Julie Taylor, Senior Vice President Erika Elliott and Vice President Ann Natunewicz will manage leasing of the 100K SF of retail. Biederman Redevelopment Ventures will manage and curate programming for the rooftop park, while Pearl Media will be in charge of media and promotional efforts for the property.

The 5.4-acre rooftop park, designed by PWP Landscape Architecture, will offer 13 different gardens, a great lawn with trees, movable chairs and tables, an 800-seat amphitheater for concerts and performances, a half-mile jogging track and a restaurant. BRV park programming under consideration includes yoga, exercise classes, farmers markets, nighttime movies, ping pong, chess, reading rooms, children’s programming and concerts.

“Our vision of the rooftop park at Transbay Transit Center is an elevated 'town square' that offers visitor experiences unlike any other public space in San Francisco,” BRV President Dan Biederman said. “We aim to make the park an asset for the entire downtown and South of Market community, as well as a destination for people throughout the Bay Area.”

Phase 1 of Transbay Transit Center is on track to open spring 2018.
