Lane Partners and the Strategic Urban Development Alliance could soon be building the largest development in Uptown Oakland in 10 years. The JV just shared its plans and renderings with the community earlier this week for a 1.3M SF mixed-use development with creative office, retail, community space and public open space at Telegraph Avenue and 21st Street.
“We are looking forward to incorporating feedback from the community and city to create 85k SF of retail, 800k SF of commercial and 400k SF of residential space that meets the needs of the community,” Lane Partners principal Andrew Haydel said.
Gensler is the architectural designer for this project. If approved, construction is expected to begin in 2018.
Lane Partners worked on the redevelopment of the Oakland Sears building now owned by Uber. Current SUDA projects include The Thomas L. Berkeley Square in Uptown and the Mandela Station Transit Village at the West Oakland BART station.
