John is an avid ALS supporter, having participated in the annual ALS Association Golden West Chapter's Napa Ride to Defeat ALS for the past decade. This year's ride on Sept. 27 is expected to jump from 1,000 cyclists and $600k donated to 1,200 cyclists and a $750k fundraising goal. Meanwhile, John's challenged some big local GCs: DPR, BCCI, Peacock, and SC Builders. John tells us his retail renovation project at 115 Sansome recently took an interesting turn; the firm just uncovered a cast iron railing that was buried in the wall and had been covered up since the 1930s. A restoration plan is underway. RN Field found another gem that could make a reappearance: unique mosaic floorings under the existing coverings.
