Salesforce is taking over the Transbay District. The tech giant is close to securing the naming rights for the Transbay Transit Center, Grand Hall, rooftop park, playground and amphitheater, SocketSite reports. The 25-year, $110M deal would rename the transit center Salesforce Transit Center and allow the company to reserve the future Salesforce Park for its Dreamforce convention. Other companies will still be able to sponsor events at the park.
Public use hours at the park will be limited to 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. November through April and until 9 p.m. May through October under the agreement. If the Transbay Joint Powers Authority approves the agreement, the naming will take effect Thursday.
