The construction barricade at 301 Howard is unlike any other in town. Instead of leaving a block of blank barricade on display, building owner Vanbarton Group commissioned renowned LA street artist CantStopGoodBoy to work his magic. The artist has brought life to an otherwise utilitarian structure in the heart of the financial district with his graffiti piece, entitled Crooked Mane.

JLL, exclusive leasing agent for the building, worked closely with Vanbarton Group on the idea. The idea for the art and artist came from Vanbarton, which had a relationship with the artist, and JLL built a marketing plan to support it, JLL's Wes Powell tells us.

Wes tells us, “It’s great to work with an owner who’s willing to take the initiative and make the effort to do more for their corner of the neighborhood." Wes says the work, which taps into the creative tradition of the city's street art, was described on Twitter as an "epic wrap." "I think that sums it up."

At about a story tall and a city block wide, it's the largest construction barricade CantStopGoodBoy has done to date.
