The Oakland Raiders are ready to move to Los Angeles, filing an application with the NFL this week to relocate.
The Raiders joined the San Diego Chargers and St. Louis Rams in trying to move their franchises to Los Angeles. NFL owners will have to decide which teams actually make a move. The next meeting is scheduled for Jan. 12 and 13.
The team would have to pay a $550k relocation fee to the NFL if selected to leave Oakland, according to the San Francisco Business Times. The Raiders did not comment on the City of Oakland's efforts to get the team to stay in its short statement about the application. [SFBT]
