WeWork Doubles Size In Portland

WeWork inked a deal for 30k SF at 700 SE 5th Ave, on the top floor of Pioneer Place. With a location already up and running at the U.S. Custom House in Old Town Chinatown (above), the lease roughly doubles the presence of the co-working colossus in Portland. The new location, which open in the spring, will offer space for more than 675 members.

WeWork has expanded tremendously in a short time. It has 143 locations in 35 cities worldwide, and is expanding into more cities, most recently in South America. There are rumors WeWork might be looking for an east side location, perhaps in the Lloyd District, according to the Portland Business Journal, but the company said it has "no other announcements to share at this time."
