Regus, which specializes in flexible workspaces, opened its first location in Camas, which is the company’s third location in the greater Vancouver, Washington, market. It is the only shared workspace available in Camas.
Regus Camas-192nd Avenue is a 12,500 SF facility offering a business lounge, private offices and meeting rooms. The center also includes eating options, a fitness center and some retail.
The company said it is aiming to capture business from among professionals who commute to Downtown Vancouver or Portland by offering a remote work location. That would reduce members' commuting time on days they did not travel to their main office.
According to a recent Regus study, 54% of "global business professionals" said they work remotely two-and-a-half days a week or more. If accurate, that would point to a very large market for shared workspaces.
The two other Regus locations in the Vancouver area are at 1220 Main and the FLW Building. Aside from Vancouver, the shared-workspace specialist has seven other locations in greater Portland. Regus is a brand of IWG, which is in growth mode worldwide, with about 3,000 locations.
