American Airlines, which merged with US Airways in 2013, is planning to leave the space in Downtown Tempe that used to be US Airways HQ (the headquarters of the combined entity is Fort Worth). The 240k SF building is at Salado Parkway and Mill Avenue, and the airline's lease is until the end of 2016, after which it will move the 500 or so workers at the site to other AA properties in metro Phoenix. Those sites include space at the company's Flight Training Center, Rio West Business Park, the 52nd Street Building and Sky Harbor. [PBJ]
