Philadelphia Stock Exchange To Move To University City

Nasdaq's trading market floor in Philadelphia will be moving to the FMC Tower in University City from 1900 Market St in Center City.

The PHLX, which subsumed the Washington, DC, Baltimore and Pittsburgh regional markets over the past few decades, will be moving into 75k of the 636k SF of office space at the tower, which is part of Brandywine Realty Trust's new Cira Centre on the Schuylkill River. The move will make PHLX eligible for Keystone Opportunity Zone tax breaks, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange is the oldest stock exchange in the US, and the third-largest. It was purchased by Nasdaq in 2007. [Philly]
