Ampersand Health of Nashville has opened three “CityLife Neighborhood Clinics” in Philadelphia to test its model of delivering primary healthcare. The clinics are in University City, North Philadelphia and the Spruce Hill section of West Philadelphia, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal. The clinic will take a team-based approach to primary care, with each team consisting of a primary care physician, a registered nurse, an administrative assistant and a clinical assistant working together in the same room. The sites will serve Medicare Advantage and Medicaid managed care patients. [PBJ]
