Spotted Pig owners April Bloomfield and Ken Friedman signed a deal yesterday to operate a four-level dining and drinking venue at the top of the landmarked former AIG tower at 70 Pine. The contract brings a Michelin-starred chef to the long-vacant skyscraper, which is being converted into 664 luxury rentals. The dining venue will feature 7.5k SF of indoor space on floors 62, 63, 64 and 66, along with 2.5k SF of terraces, the New York Post reports. Bloomfield and Friedman will also open a 1k SF bar in the lobby of the building for patrons waiting for the express elevator to the 62nd floor. Construction on the restaurant is expected to begin around September of this year and complete a year later. [NYPost]
