NYC No Longer Dominates Most Expensive ZIP Codes

We’ve grown accustomed to NYC dominating Forbes’ list of most expensive ZIP codes in the country. Well, this year’s list shows us why NYC had better move over and let California take the spotlight for a while. Just two ZIP codes within the five boroughs made the top 10 this year.

California, meanwhile, took four of the top 10—up from just one last year. How expensive is this year’s top ZIP code? Try $10.6M for the median home price in Atherton in Silicon Valley. The most expensive median price any NYC ZIP code could muster was $7.3M. That's in 10012, which covers parts of the West Village and SoHo. [Forbes]
