Industry City Readies 500k SF For Creative Office Tenants

Jamestown Properties and Belvedere Capital have announced that they’ll be leasing 500k SF targeting creative office tenants at Sunset Park’s Industry City.

The block of space is in Building 19, where the Brooklyn Nets’ training facility opened earlier this year.

The developers have made upgrades to the building’s infrastructure and added new windows and a new lobby.

“Activating this space will help maintain the city’s competitive advantage and ability to capture the job-generating companies looking to expand here,” Industry City CEO Andrew Kimball said in a statement.

A Newmark Grubb Knight Frank team led by David Falk will handle leasing.

Will the ownership be able to fill all that space? If the pace of leasing remains what it’s been, it’ll take less than a year. The 6M SF complex has leased more than a third of its space since Jamestown and Belvedere acquired the complex in 2013.
