Dan Doctoroff’s Firms Take Up The Last Of 10 Hudson Yards’ Office Space

Hudson Yards Development

The last chunk of office space in the 10 Hudson Yards development is finally spoken for, taken by former deputy mayor Dan Doctoroff’s two urban policy companies.

Doctoroff’s Intersection and Sidewalk Labs signed a deal for a 10-year lease of 67k SF at the 1.8M SF tower, the Commercial Observer reports. The two firms will occupy the 26th and 27th floors of the 52-story office tower that will soon stand at the corner of West 30th Street and 11th Avenue.

Doctoroff’s firms will be leaving the Woolworth Building at 233 Broadway, following in the footsteps of companies like Coach, L’Oreal and SAP, which have been leaving traditional offices and moving to the Far West Side. The asking rent remains unknown, but The New York Times reports other tenants have been paying between $70 and $80 per SF.

It’s a fitting move for Doctoroff, who was partly responsible for getting the Hudson Yards area rezoned in the first place.

“The effort to turn this neighborhood into an engine of growth for New York City has been a personal mission for me for 20 years and it is very exciting to see that dream becoming a reality,” Doctoroff said in a release. [CO]
