We like visiting our title sponsor Monday Properties not just to check in, but as an excuse to ascend to its cupola. On this visit to 230 Park, we found a new face up there, leasing director Jordan Berger. We somehow got his attention in between his broker tours.
From The Crown Jewel’s cupola, you can see clear up Park Avenue to the Bronx. You may remember Jordan from his previous role at Jones Lang LaSalle (he’s been with Monday for just over a month) but now he’s enjoying the owner-operator side. In addition to the 1.4M-SF 230 Park, he also heads leasing at the 743k-SF 1440 Broadway and the 260k-SF 386 Park Avenue South, which have exciting deals pending for 4Q—though no details were divulged. (Jordan was our guide down, so we had little leverage.)
He tells us there’s still one 22K-SF tower floor available at 230 Park. Meanwhile, 386 Park Ave South is completing a multi-faceted capital improvements program, including a prominent new entrance, renovated lobby, new common corridors, and pre-builts available by the end of the year. If you want space at 1440, it looks like you’ll have to wait—the building is 100% leased. Despite his schedule, he still has time to make a racquet—the avid tennis player is issuing an open challenge to play against him at the REBNY spring tennis outing.
