Northern New Jersey is preparing to vote on allowing casinos, and billionaire Paul Fireman is ahead of the game. He is refining plans for Liberty Rising, a casino project at 100 Caven Point Rd, now being used as a parking lot for his golf course in southern Jersey City. The $4B complex, designed by Friedmutter Group Architects, will have a 90-story, 1,500-key luxury hotel, restaurants and a theater, New York YIMBY reports. Plans for a record-breaking Ferris Wheel or a racetrack have been scrapped, but the complex will have ferry service to New York City. [YIMBY]
