Superstar entrepreneur Elon Musk's "Hyperloop" idea is all about speed. Serious speed. According to recent reports, the first track will open by the end of 2016, hitting "over 700 mph."

How do you hit such speeds? This is pretty much how it goes: It shoots a hovering capsule down a low-pressure pipe—like an airplane at high altitude—which could turn eight-hour trips into 30-minute loop rides.
