Congrats to Pennzoil Place, which was named the most intelligent office building project in IBcon/Realcomm’s commercial real estate digital innovation awards. The 1.4M SF, Class-A high-rise is owned by Metropolis Investment Holdings and uses Cisco’s Internet of Everything to connect its systems. The program has helped Transwestern’s management team lower energy costs by 21% from ’11 to ’12 and 11% in the first eight months of 2013. That’s largely thanks to automating temperature control and allowing building engineers to monitor systems remotely.
