The mixed-used development in the Allston-Brighton neighborhood will soon be the location of the Celtics’ new practice and training facility. Even better, the team won't be tucked away unobtrusively.
The new 70k SF facility, including the team’s 17 NBA championship banners, will be visible from the Massachusetts Turnpike with a 40-foot glass wall enclosing the practice courts that will face the about 130,000 commuters a day.

Adding a brand like the Boston Celtics to Boston Landing along the Mass Pike further advances development as the gateway into the City of Boston from the west, Jim says. Further, NB is building—and financing—a new $20M commuter rail stop at its site that will operate on the South Station to the Framingham/Worcester Purple Line, bringing in workers from the western ‘burbs.

Construction will being at the facility this fall, with completion slated for spring 2018. Elkus Manfredi Architects will handle the design, and John Moriarty & Associates will handle the construction. Participating brokers from Transwestern/RBJ included Steve Purpura and Chris McCauley, repping NB, and Michael Joyce and Tom Ashe repping the Celtics.
