Trump Team Starts Outlining $1 Trillion Infrastructure Plan

President Donald Trump is moving forward with his $1 trillion infrastructure spending plan, instructing his team to begin outlining specifics.

The team, led by real estate moguls Richard LeFrak and Steven Roth, wants to begin by putting pressure on states to streamline permitting, prioritize projects that can get started quickly and renovate existing roads before building new ones, the Wall Street Journal reports. The president said he wants to give states 90 days to start projects and showed interest in selling the broadcast spectrum to wireless carriers and constructing faster railroads.

In his address to Congress, Trump said public and private capital will finance the projects, and Trump advisers said new tax credits will lure private investors. The president will push his infrastructure plans forward once Congress reforms healthcare and taxes.
