Beverly Hills Real Estate Developer Is Trump's Largest Supporter

Being self-funded only gets you so far, and after scaring away much of the traditional Republican donor base, Donald Trump is using his real estate background to reach out to a new group of super-rich potential donors.

The biggest taker so far is Geoffrey Palmer, who with a $2M donation to pro-Trump group Rebuilding America Now gave the largest contribution so far disclosed, Bloomberg reports. And he isn’t even a well-known donor—according to the Federal Election Commission he’s never written checks of that kind for political causes.

That’s good news for Trump, especially considering conservative mega-donor Charles Koch doesn’t support him and has even said it’s possible that he will actively support Clinton against Trump. [Bloomberg]
