Berkshire And Strategic Capital Partners Form $500M JV

Real estate investment companies Berkshire Group and Strategic Capital have formed a $500M JV, the companies said in a joint statement

Combining Berkshire's multifamily know-how with Strategic's office, industrial and retail expertise, the duo will develop and acquire a portfolio of industrial, office and mixed-use properties.

Berkshire managing director Larry Elman says the partnership gives him access to hot office and industrial markets.  

The JV closed on its first three assets last December with two office development sites in Raleigh, NC, and one business park in Northern Virginia.
