These 5 Restaurant Chains Will Be Open On Turkey Day

Though it's assumed most Americans eat Thanksgiving dinner at home, a large number of families enjoy the yearly feast at restaurants. The National Restaurant Association says 14 million Americans will eat their Thanksgiving meal in a restaurant this year while another 16 million will supplement a meal made at home with takeout. Here are five of the largest restaurant chains staying open to cash in on Turkey Day.

1. Denny's

Not much of a surprise here—Denny's is always open. While the restaurant almost never closes its doors, it is changing its menu around for the holiday to offer a turkey and dressing dinner. If that's not what you're looking for, don't worry, the rest of the menu will still be fair game.

2. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel will be open on Nov. 24 from 11am to 10pm for all your Thanksgiving needs. It's offering a special meal that includes turkey and dressing, baked ham, sweet potato casserole, a selection of vegetables, cranberry relish, a piece of pumpkin pie and a drink. And the Thanksgiving feast only costs $12.99 per adult and $7.99 for kids.

3. Boston Market

Boston Market's Thanksgiving meal features roasted turkey breast and two home style sides (we suggest mashed potatoes and stuffing), along with fresh cornbread and a slice of apple or pumpkin pie. Such a meal will run you $10.99. The chain also lets you order individual items for carryout.

4. Golden Corral

Participating locations are offering hungry guests a Thanksgiving Day Buffet, including traditional holiday favorites like turkey and ham, along with less traditional foods like fried chicken, sirloin steak and fried shrimp. While prices vary by location, don't expect to pay more than $15 a person for an all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving dinner here.

5. Waffle House

Like Denny's, most Waffle House locations are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They'll be serving up what they serve up best on Thanksgiving, and that means waffles. Don't come here expecting a big turkey dinner, but if you just can't stay away, even on Thanksgiving, don't worry—they'll be open.
