A Murfreesboro-based entity, TTF Investments LLC, paid $1.5M for nearly an acre at 921 Dickerson Pike, which is the site of a Piggly Wiggly grocery store that is about to close. TTF plans a mix of condos, townhouses and retail space there. As yet, the identity of the developer is not public, and the Tennesseean cited Metro Councilman Scott Davis about the details of the deal.
The deal also included 907 and 917 Dickerson. Earlier this year, the same entity acquired 23 acres on West Trinity Lane, where 62 single-family houses are planned.
The owner of the Piggly Wiggly, Freddie Robertson, said he will continue to operate another Piggly Wiggly about a mile and a half away, at 2317 Dickerson. The brand has other locations in Nashville on West End Avenue and in Old Hickory.
