TrustPoint Hospital in Murfreesboro is seeking the state's permission to add 148 beds, more than doubling its capacity. The hospital was recently acquired by Acadia Healthcare Co. TrustPoint, which provides behavioral health and rehabilitation services, is already the region's 20th-largest hospital, reports the Nashville Business Journal.
Franklin-based Acadia operates a network of more than 580 behavioral healthcare facilities with about 17,400 beds in 39 states, the UK and Puerto Rico. Acadia provides behavioral health and addiction services to its patients in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, outpatient clinics and therapeutic school-based programs.
