The Three Graces of North West construction — Caddick, Eric Wright Group and Seddon — have been shortlisted to deliver the Carrington Gateway scheme, the 19-acre first slice of one of south Manchester's largest commercial and residential prospects.

Manchester-based HIMOR is starting construction of Carrington Gateway, as it begins the redevelopment of the 1,679 acre estate. Enabling works for future phase are being undertaken by Simon Carves Engineering.

HIMOR is working with Trafford Council to transform the former Shell petrochemical site with new homes, green spaces, social infrastructure, employment space and transport links.

Outline planning permission is already in place for 725 new homes and 1M SF of new commercial development. Last month, Trafford Council approved a reserved matters application for Carrington Gateway.

“The journey towards realising the long-term vision for Carrington starts now. Over the next 18 months, we’ll be putting the building blocks in place for the site’s rebirth as a vibrant new community, first with the Gateway commercial scheme and then Carrington Village, a new residential development," HIMOR Chairman Will Ainscough said.
