Bisnow Exclusive: Tech Exec Buys Development Parcel in El Segundo

Founder of international tech outfit RJT Compuquest and hotel operator Welcome Group Amar Shokeen has bought a 2.6-acre parcel designated for future development at elevon in El Segudno. Colliers EVP Geoff Ludwig (here with sons Ashton and Cruz) repped the buyer, and calls elevon the most creatively conceived and designed center in the region. A team from CBRE and JLL repped developers Continental Development Corp and Mar Ventures in the $7.3M sale. Colliers' Eric Lastition also repped the buyer.

The more than 46-acre mixed-use center combines creative office space with retail shops, restaurants, a hotel, athletic fields and outdoor collaborative workspaces. It also will be the site of the Los Angeles Lakers new $80M executive HQ and training facility slated to open in 2018.
