Eco-Friendly Office Helps Shine Jessica Alba's Honest Company into Success

The Honest Co—Jessica Alba's co-founded household product e-retailer— raised $100M in venture capital funding to value it at $1.7B by hopping on the green bandwagon. The site was founded in 2011, and sells about 100 nontoxic parenting items ranging from diapers to toothpaste, appealing to the health-conscious parent, Business Insider reports. The startup's Santa Monica office is bright, plant-filled and sunlit, with open common areas and a product showroom. To hone in on its eco-friendly parenting identity, the office also features a jungle gym for blogging mothers, a vegetable garden using recyclable water, and reclaimed furniture. It may be paying off, as an IPO is reportedly underway[BI]
