A year ago, CBRE chose a free-address, paperless office format at its Downtown LA HQ, so we checked in to see how it's working. The firm says more than 90% of its employees wouldn't want to go back to the old-school way of working. The Workplace360 office also scored high in productivity, mobility, flexibility, collaboration, and health and wellness—half of the employees use sit/stand desks, and three-quarters take the stairs rather than elevators most of the time.
The Downtown LA corporate HQ was CBRE's first major US office to transition to the Workplace360 initiative. It's now been rolled out to 11 sites in the US, including Ontario (above), San Diego, Carlsbad, Sacramento, Honolulu, and Baltimore, as well as 10 sites globally. Another handful are slated to come online over the next year.
