You can never count on an underwhelming Rick Caruso project, and the recently announced renovation of the old Masonic Temple in Glendale is no exception. The billionaire now plans to put a five-star concierge service in the creative office, which will allow tenants to send out for laundry, groceries and even dinner during office hours, all delivered by 5pm. The cost of the service will be included in the rent for the space, according to Bloomberg. Bisnow first reported in April that CBRE has pre-leased as much as 20k SF at the project. CB and 100 or so of its employees are expected to move in by the end of the year.

Here's a look at the inside of the upcoming project, which will be able to take advantage of being across the street from Caruso Affiliated's Americana at Brand and provide much of the service for the concierge at the office. The Masonic Temple property, located at South Brand Boulevard and Colorado Street, totals about 68k SF of building area and 38K SF of land. Rick (one of LA's wealthiest real estate moguls) had been in talks to buy the property from owner Frank De Pietro for about five years.

The nine-story art deco tower was designed in 1927 by Arthur G. Lindley, who also designed Glendale’s Alex Theatre. The temple was completed in 1928 and housed at least six different Masonic organizations.
