One of LA's largest talent agencies will relocate its headquarters to the massive under-development Century City Center office tower. Creative Artists Agency will move from its current digs across the street in 2026 to the 37-story tower.

CAA signed a long-term lease to become the anchor tenant at the Johnson Fain-designed tower, according to The Hollywood Reporter. A representative for CAA and JMB Realty Corp., which is developing the talent agency’s future home, declined to share the square footage that CAA would occupy and the length of its lease term.

However, CAA said it would occupy a “building within a building” designed by Bjarke Ingels at the property at 1950 Avenue of the Stars. CAA will have its own entrance, lobby and parking at the approximately 700K SF building. The project is fully entitled and ground work has begun, but a construction timeline is not yet available.

The company’s current headquarters spans about 300K SF at Hines’ 2000 Avenue of the Stars, located across the street from Century City Center. It renewed its lease in July 2021, the Commercial Observer reported. According to the LA Business Journal, the renewal was for four years.

CAA’s space needs may change by the time it moves into its new home base. The company announced in September it would acquire rival talent agency ICM Partners in a deal slated to be finalized in mid-2022, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

At the time of the announcement, CAA President Richard Lovett told the outlet the two companies “are all going to be in one location together as soon as time allows for that to be.”

ICM’s headquarters is a block away from Century City Center at 10250 Constellation Blvd., a building also built by JMB Realty and designed by Johnson Fain. ICM reportedly has a “10-year-plus” lease on its 112K SF space, which it moved into in 2016.

CAA employs about 2,000 people, including 850 in LA, according to the LA Times.
