Our first BMAC West Conference, April 11 at the Montage Beverly Hills, will be an all-day event on multifamily featuring nearly 30 speakers. This week, we chatted with one of them: MetLife Real Estate Investments managing director John Menne (center, at a past ULI event). He'sworking on mortgage financing and equity investments in the Southwestern US. In December, heclosed the acquisition of a SoCal portfolio of 17 infill industrial properties totaling more than 3M SF from LBA. On the debt side, MetLife completed a 50% JV on the Loews Hollywood Hotel.
