Shanghai Developer Files For South Park Tower

A subsidiary of Shanghai-based real estate firm ShengLong Group has officially filed plans for a 24-story residential tower in South Park.

The proposed project (1229 S Grand Ave) would feature 161 condos and 2k SF of retail. Steinberg is reportedly designing the development, according to Urbanize LA. An artist rendering on City Century’s website shows the tall building topped off by an amenity deck and a rooftop pool.

Construction of the high-rise complex will require a city site plan review and other approvals from the city. [ULA]
