Caravan, which pioneered casual, all-day dining in London, is opening a new restaurant south of the River Thames next to Tate Modern’s new extension. The restaurant is taking over the ground floor of Metal Box Factory, one of the first buildings in London to receive a Wired Certified Platinum rating for connectivity, which makes Caravan an excellent lunch meeting spot, particularly since that area south of the City financial district and St. Paul’s isn’t known for being a stellar dining district.

The 4k SF restaurant will accommodate 140 guests and a stand-alone bar, according to Bloomberg.

You can expect the menu to feature signature dishes such as baked eggs with tomato pepper ragout and jalapeño cornbread French toast, as well as some newer dishes like lardo biscuits and potsticker dumplings, pizzas and even house-crafted cheeses. [Bloomberg]
