A key intersection in Uptown Houston is being redeveloped into a mixed-use megadevelopment.
Houston-based McNair Interests, founded by Houston Texans owner Bob McNair, is building a vacant 6-acre tract at Post Oak Boulevard and Richmond Avenue into a 1.2M SF property with a 150-room Rosewood Hotel with 80 luxury residences, a multifamily tower, 350K SF of Class-A office, restaurants, 30K SF of retail and green space.
Construction will begin next year and is expected to deliver in 2023. It is being designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and managed by Patrinely Group.
“This is a defining development for McNair Interests and the City of Houston,” McNair Interests CEO Cary McNair said in a statement. “Our vision redefines the southernmost entrance of Post Oak Boulevard and the Uptown District, fusing a distinctive, sophisticated design with Houston’s future.”
Another major mixed-use project anchored by a high-end hotel just delivered on Post Oak: Tilman Fertitta's The Post Oak opened in March.
