We’re up in The Woodlands again for this throwback Thursday. Here’s construction underway on The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center in 1973. The resort was completed in 1974 as The Woodlands Inn, with 218 rooms featuring full kitchens and an ice rink. In 1981, the hotel was one of the founding members of the International Association of Conference Centers. It’s been expanded and renovated many times since, including a $65M renovation last year. The most recent update touched every room and public space and added 184 rooms, a lazy river and a steakhouse.
