The Marriott Marquis has partnered with legendary Astro second baseman Craig Biggio for a two-story bar within the $370M hotel under construction Downtown. Biggio’s will feature memorabilia from his career as well as giant flat-screen TVs, modern design and local craft beers. The sports bar will be one of six food and drink outlets inside the Marriott Marquis, reports the Houston Business Journal.

The Marriott will feature 1,000 guest rooms, 100k SF of meeting space and a Texas-shaped lazy river on the hotel’s sixth floor roof deck. Construction is expected to complete in time for the 2017 Super Bowl in Houston. The hotel, along with $175M in improvements to GRB, will have Houston in fine shape when we root on the Texans on home turf in the big game next year (hopefully). [HBJ]
