Memorial Hermann Breaks Ground At Woodlands Campus

Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital broke ground on its 175k SF MOB Thursday. The on-campus facility is six stories and will house physicians from a wide range of sub-specialties. It’ll deliver by the end of the year, bringing Memorial Hermann’s The Woodlands campus to 500k SF. CBRE director of healthcare leasing Lisa Bovermann (fourth from the left at Thursday's ceremony) tells us the MOB was originally planned as a four-story, 100k SF facility, mirroring the ones Memorial Hermann built on its Sugar Land and Katy campuses last year. However, interest for space was so high that they bulked up the property. Even with the expanded footprint, it rocketed right to 72% pre-leased and Lisa says prospective tenants are still flocking to the building even as competitors (Methodist, TCH and CHI-St Luke's Springwoods) are entering the market.
