PBK won big at IIDAs annual Product Runwaythis month. Above, the design team (Clem Garcia, Morgan Anderson, Stephanie Foster, Ashley Burns, and John Kubala) shows off its three awards: Best In Show, Crowd Favorite, and Most Philanthropic. This years theme was animated movies, and PBK was assigned Riothe top layer of Stephanies skirt released into wings (by way of a chair piston, pretty cool mechanics). Ashley tells us the team made Stephanie watch videos of Victorias Secret shows so shed know how to attractively walk in a huge set of wings. She also consulted with IIDAs runway expert, but the timing was unfortunate: PBK had a meeting with some major international clients and she had to strut past them in her costume.

JCSs Laura Thompson and PBKs Sean Pantin produced this years competition, which pitted 24 design teams against each other to create a couture garment using everyday textiles. Other winners include Gensler (second place and most sustainable), Kirksey (third place), WHR for best performance, Art Institute of Houston for best student entry, MD Anderson as best new participant, Wilson Architectural Group for best craftsmanship, HOK for most original, Morris Architects for most wearable, and Abel Design Group for best hard good.
