Hotel Derek's Newest Amenity

Hotel Derek wasn’t content being a great place to spend a night or grab a drink. Public artist Ken Goar installed a movie wall, where guests can watch old westerns, romantic classics, and DJ-timed music videos. (What if we wanted to watch reruns of Magnum PI? Is that negotiable?) The team converted a concrete wall on the side of the hotel’s parking garage into an art wall with the 15’ by 25’ screen front and center. It spans three floors and took over a month to complete. The entire pool area (now dubbed SPLASH, it’s pictured) was also restyled with a graffiti wall and swanky daybeds.
