Food company Kellogg has signed up as the first tenant at the new build part of DAA's Dublin Airport Central scheme.

Kellogg has agreed to take nearly 39K SF at the 91,500 SF Three Dublin Airport Central building — two and a half of its six floors — on a 20-year lease. The company will move its Dublin-based European and Irish offices — which employ more than 220 people — from Airside Business Park in Swords to the new building in the third quarter of 2019.

DAA did not comment on the financial terms of the deal.

The airport authority has planning permission for four blocks comprising nearly 450K SF of office space at Dublin Airport Central. Construction is underway on the first two buildings, Nos. 2 and 3, which will between them deliver around 215K SF.

Building three is due to be ready for client fit-out by the end of Q2 next year and two is scheduled for completion in the following quarter.

ESB International is already a tenant at the development, having moved into One Dublin Airport Central, a refurbished 1960s office building, at the beginning of 2017.

Dublin Airport Central Head Brian Coppinger said there has been “very strong interest” in the development from a range of potential tenants. “We are very pleased with the demand we are seeing for these two landmark buildings and we expect to have further news shortly in relation to additional lettings,” he said. “The market has given strong validation for the Dublin Airport Central concept.”
