A Number Of Occupiers Are Increasing Space In Dublin

A fresh wave of firms, including EY and U.S. law firm Armstrong Teasdale, are eyeing up Dublin office space as An Post secures 77K SF in Ireland’s tallest building.

An Post is set to take at least five floors of The EXO in the city’s north Docklands. The building is due to complete later this month, and the Irish post office will move its headquarters to the tower once it vacates the General Post Office.

The An Post deal reflects the largest deal to be completed in 2022. The 170K SF EXO building is now approximately 70% let. It is owned by Tristan Capital.

Accountancy giant EY is set to expand its presence in the city after announcing expansion plans late last year.

In September EY announced that it was to create an additional 800 jobs in Dublin, with half of the roles to be senior hires. The other half of the recruitment process will focus on offering roles to graduates.

The additional jobs would bring EY’s total headcount in the city to 4,200. The firm has a lease at Harcourt Street until 2027.

U.S. law practice Armstrong Teasdale confirmed that it was opening a Dublin office at Fitzwilliam Place to help it push forward with its strategic growth.

“Dublin is a key steppingstone in our European expansion plans," Armstrong Teasdale Chairman David Braswell said. "We now have important footholds in both the UK and EU markets in a post-Brexit environment, and are better-positioned to serve our clients in Europe and beyond.

“We look forward to the Dublin office serving as a catalyst for our ongoing global growth plans.”

According to the law firm, the new Dublin office will focus on building out its expertise in corporate and capital markets, intellectual property, employment and immigration support.

The firm’s Dublin office is located at Fitzwilliam Hall, Fitzwilliam Place, Dublin 2.
