Kroenke Sports & Entertainment has taken full control of The River Mile development, acquiring longtime partner Revesco Properties’ stake in the 62-acre project that includes Elitch Gardens and Meow Wolf’s Denver outpost.
The deal, which closed Wednesday, consolidates ownership of one of downtown Denver’s largest and most ambitious redevelopment efforts under KSE — the powerhouse behind the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and the 70-acre Ball Arena redevelopment just next door.
Terms of the transaction, reported by the Denver Business Journal, were not disclosed, and no deeds had been filed as of Friday morning.

“Realizing sole ownership of these properties will allow us to streamline our comprehensive vision for the future development encompassing The River Mile and the adjacent Ball Arena campus,” KSE owner and Chairman Stanley Kroenke said in a statement.
KSE and Revesco had been working jointly on the site since 2015, when they teamed up to acquire Elitch Gardens. That same partnership later expanded to include 1338 First St., the 2.5-acre home of Meow Wolf’s immersive art experience, which it purchased in 2023 for almost $7.4M.
River Mile is expected to evolve over the next 20 to 25 years into a new destination district, bringing as many as 16,450 residents and 25,000 jobs to the South Platte River corridor. Estimates suggest the project could generate $3.1B in annual economic and fiscal impact.
“We believe the blueprint has been set for the future of Central Denver and that both the Park and The River Mile vision are in good hands with Mr. Kroenke and his family,” Revesco President and CEO Rhys Duggan said in the statement.
KSE has already unveiled plans to transform nearby surface parking around Ball Arena with a hotel, music venue and 300 residential units. Elitch Gardens and Meow Wolf remain open.
