LEED Platinum Dallas: Rambler Park

Unlike Dallas City Performance Hall, Sabine Hall Science Building, Prairie Creek Branch Library and HKS HQ, which earned Platinum status based on LEED's New Construction or Commercial Interiors Rating Systems, Rambler Park earned LEED Platinum in Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance.

In 2014, 7557 Rambler Road was the first building in Dallas to earn this type of LEED Platinum designation.

This certification acknowledges best practices in already operational buildings and provides an outline to become more sustainable in the areas of energy, water and indoor environment. The Existing Buildings variation places higher importance on operational issues such as waste management, temperature monitoring, commuting programs and sustainable cleaning.

After Parmenter Realty Partners bought the 311k SF building in July 2013, it spent about a year renovating it. (Ascent Realty Advisors and EY Ventures owns Rambler Park now and Pillar Commercial manages it.)

Management goes beyond paper and plastic recycling to offer electronic recycling services that give new life to computers, printers, copiers and other office machinery.

Rambler Park's LEED scorecard shows perfect achievement for green cleaning, meaning all cleaning solutions, equipment and methods are sustainable.

Safe pest control and window washing services keep landscapes (and tenants) safe from unwanted chemicals.

Many tenants commute using DART thanks to Rambler Park's connection to the Walnut Hill DART station.

Rambler Park earned a score of 93 out of 100 for the EPA’s Energy Star Portfolio Manager, indicating it performs better than 93% of buildings with similar operating conditions and climate.
