Northpark Center Celebrates 50th Anniversary

NorthPark Center marked its 50th anniversary Wednesday with promises of adding more than 100 new retailers by 2017. NorthPark Center prides itself on attracting exclusive retailers that you'd expect to find in New York City or LA. The shopping center was started by Raymond Nasher with four anchor stores—Neiman Marcus, Woolworth's, Titche-Goettinger and J.C. Penney. Now, the 1.2M SF mall serves more than 26 million customers annually. (We think we'll celebrate with a day of shopping.) [DBJ]
