The acquisition is an attempt by Method to capitalize on the booming Dallas-Fort Worth pipeline.

“Dallas is going through such a major transformation right now. There is a lot of growth and a lot of activity up here, so we thought it was a good time to open up an office and continue expanding,” Method Architecture Managing Partner Jake Donaldson said.

“For the last year or two, we have made substantial headway.”

Primal Architecture owner and operator Drew Hayes is now working under the Method Architecture umbrella, where he will serve as studio manager and North Texas leader.

Hayes was involved in major North Texas design projects from Firewheel Plaza to The Shops at Park Lane and the Dallas Center for Performing Arts.

"Joining with Method Architecture just seemed like a natural fit for me and my clients," Hayes said in a press statement. "Their ego-free approach to design and quick turn on projects has been an easy transition and I'm looking forward to growing this office."

Method Architecture is occupying flexible workspace in Downtown Dallas as it searches for permanent office space inside a trendsetting or historic building in the area.

Method first opened a Dallas office in 2018. Prior to that, the firm purchased Austin-based Architecture Plus in 2017.
